A Long Awaited Return

As we start the year anew once again I wanted to welcome everyone back and thank everyone who has remained connected in one way or another, especially those who have asked me lately about The Daily Dubby and what happened to that thing I used to do. It's been a bit over 5 years since the COVID event that changed the world and almost 10 years since I created The Daily Dubby. I started that blog for a few reasons, but one main one was a looming life event that I thought might separate me from my family and eventually that event came. With COVID happening a few years later, that life event got better which was probably the only blessing COVID gave us. Since then the world has continued to be a different place in many ways and parts of the world have continued to change, sometimes in very negative ways and I have seen and sometimes have participated in losing focus on what really matters - being happy for what we have, even if for some that is only being alive.

I have launched this new blog to take over where the old one left off, but also to have a wider range of topics and to allow for posts to not be forced in trying to meet the word 'Daily' the prior blog had stamped directly into the title. The point of not forcing my writing is to always be genuine with all of you about what I'm writing about. If you don't write, I would humbly ask you to try because it will teach you how to tap into your deeper self and how to communicate that version of yourself to the world, because we often hide some of that in our day to day lives.

As 2026 starts officially, I pledge to return to my prior focus of what really matters - being happy for what we have, whatever that happens to be at the time - and I will use this blog to share that with all of you in hopes it will add some positivity to your lives as well. As humans, especially as adults, we often take ourselves and trivial things in life way too seriously and we need to remember to slow down, touch grass, breath air, feel the rain and love each other as humans.
